Moved back... =)

Sorry guys... especially to the swell people who keep updating their link to my blog no matter how many times I move.

My blog moved, again. If moving blogs were a game of musical chairs, I'll win for sure XD

But, this time, it's back to somewhere familiar... my Blogger!

Made some changes to it, and hopefully there will be more new stuff in the future.

Thanks everyone, and hope to see you there <3

Mercy's closed...

One of my fav music rotations is closing down. Minna, bid farewell to Mercy.

Mercy was partly responsible for introducing me to a few VK bands, and each rotation usually had a lot of interesting tracks.

For the last rotation, there's An Cafe (yay! nyappy-ness ), Janne Da Arc (whoot!), and also Miyavi and Sugizo (not my favs though) among others.

It's also F1 weekend! Have to get up early and study Economics, Business Stats and Accounting during the daytime

The Management paper yesterday was alright! Don't know if I wrote the right stuff, but at least I could pen things down. Surprisingly, one page fills up quite fast. I think... and hope I don't have to take the unit again next semester   Missed Japanese class to study for the paper though >_<

Anyway...3 more papers to go! But I'm thankful the exam is not dragging on for 7 weeks, like poor Wye Luun's in India.

Hang in there, Luunie!   When you come back in February, we'll take you to eat all the food you want, curry optional (who knows? maybe by that time you'll be addicted to it) XD  And then we'll go over to my house for pan mee!  =)

P/S: Happy?   Now you have something to read. If you're still bored after your exams, there's this, this and this. I'm so nice

Aaah... I found out about  the 2nd MSLS (Malaysian Student Leaders Summit) too late and managed to only make it onto the waiting list.   Demo, the email actually sounded quite optimistic and the general tone was that I'm more likely than not to be offered a place.

But... but... it all depend on how many registered participants confirm their attendance, and since MSLS is proving to be quite popular, I'm not so sure about my chances. Confirmation will probably come around June/July, so I'll update you guys then. Hopefully 36 people will back out

Malaysian students studying abroad and locally, if you'll like to try your luck registering, the website's http://www.msls08.com/

Doing a quick plug for Bernie-kins

KBU's graduation party! With a theme like "RAVE", a live DJ and groovy dance floor, you know things are going to be sizzling HOT!

Join in the fun on 6th June, 6 - 11 pm. Tickets are RM25 for non graduating peeps, and the invitation's extended to everyone! For RM25, it'll be like going clubbing, only much cheaper

And don't worry, there'll be sesat non KBU-ians attending (like me XD ), so you won't feel like you're gatecrashing. Just be ready to par-ty!

After completing my Media Portfolio, I'll be completely done with Management assignments!  The last one was a real pain. I slept at 3 am and 5 am respectively the two days before the assignment was due.

Took a new batch of photos today during a short excursion to Morib, that's why this post will still be devoid of visual stimuli as Adele is tired+lazy to undertake uploading

But.. if you really want to look at some pictures, there's one of Sakazume sensei - my Japanese teacher - here. Watashi no sensei wa taihen petite desu! She's the one in blue and white.

Oh, and reading Liz's post on taking Korean language lessons at ICLS Damansara (my language school XD ) cracked me up, and the "Lost Classmate" part is true! The classrooms get changed around, so you find yourself going into the wrong classroom and then looking blur when everyone in the class looks unfamiliar...

The Asignments Chronicle

Actually, I don't think the title sounds quite right, but my inner editor is exhausted and thus is not putting up a word perfect fight

For the next few weeks, my life can be chartered according to when assignments are due. Let's see...

Monday, 5/5 - Business Statistics Online Quiz 4
Friday, 9/5 - Management Assignment 2
Monday, 19/5 - Accounting Assignment 2

Somewhere in between is also the due dates for Business Statistics Quiz 5 & 6. And after will soon be Finals, followed by unproductive rotting for 3 weeks and 3 days until Semester 2 rolls along.

I'll try to upload some pictures soon. Have got a bunch that I can't wait to show!

Itching to change the layout too... it's getting dull...

You meet people you haven't met in a while, where and when you least expect to. It's true... although I wish it wasn't since I'm vain  self-conscious and would like to look nice (or at least presentable XD ) when meeting friends and acquaintances.

And after that statement, you'll be thinking, she probably inadvertently meets ex-boyfriends whenever she steps out in her most ah lian clothes. Not true.   Hehe... I haven't had the misfortune yet, touch-wood.

Who I did meet was Choo Xiang (ex's friend, not the ex himself ), and at a Nyonya restaurant in SS2/Sea Park (I'm not sure which since it borders both areas). Totally not expected, especially considering I haven't seen him for over a year. Actually, wasn't even quite sure it was him until he spotted me and waved  =P

Anyway, books that are currently in my read list are:

My friend Jen's very simple comment the other day left me feeling kinda sad and nostalgic. "My finals are in three weeks". 6 simple words ne, but those words also mean that she'll soon be leaving for university, far far away.

Nihon-go beginner 2 has started! It's getting harder (Japanese grammar - wa, ga, ni, de, o, e... ), demo it's getting more and more useful since I'm now learning to string together practical sentences.

Nihon-go )

Uni's progressing alright, and semester 1 will be drawing to a close soon (Finals... yikes!). There is someone who makes my time at uni bittersweet, bitter because I know nothing good will probably come out of this and sweet because being near that person makes me happy, but that's o-k. I'm enjoying this semester and my friends, both from Taylor's last year and those I just met recently.

I'm never buying Smackers or Bonnebelle products again... unless the company makes their products less like cancer time-bombs in bright colors and lovely smells.

The Horrors

So sad la, I really really like Smackers.

Essentially, the boycott means I have to gradually phase out and replace my eye shadows and entire lip gloss range..........! That's my whole (albeit limited, I still don't have much patience for make-up) vanity collection. Kidding I am not  >_<

Do give the products you're currently using a run through the database as well.  Cancer's no fun to live with.

By the way, how is Skinfood? I've heard a lot of positive things regarding the brand and how they incorporate natural ingredients into the products. Do they also contain a lot of fragrances and chemicals? Any ingredients ending with paraben is a no-no.

I'm particularly curious about the sun care and toner range. I currently use no sun block (personally, I detest the feeling of having sun block on my face) and my Clinique clarifying lotion/toner is expensive + irritates my skin at times.

Feedback from those with dry inner skin that causes the outer skin to be oily (basically those who have to lather on oil-free moisturiser or else almost certainly guaranteed will have terrible looking, shiny skin the next day) who've used Skinfood's skin care range would be helpful  (=

It's a bad idea to listen to Ayumi Hamasaki while attempting homework.   The creative side of my mind fought against the banalities of accounting and emerged victorious.

Mainly due to inspiration begot from Ayu's M and Voyage, I now have another addition to my lyrics portfolio.   It's the first in quite some time, and writing it felt really good.

Ayu's M is a current favorite of mine. I really like how relatable and philosophical the lyrics are. It's also the first to be composed by her, in addition to her usual lyric writing credits.

Episode 81

Yatta! I've graduated from Nihon go Beginner 1.   The shiken was alright, not too yasashi (easy) but not too muzukashi (difficult) as well. Demo, I did stumble through parts of the oral test. Thankfully, my score for that section turned out to be ii deshita (good).

As a treat for  having handed in my Accounting assignment and for completing beginner 1, I watched KKM episode 81. Thanks to [info]shokudan, I didn't have to put my Japanese to the test and end up comprehending 1/3 of the episode  =P

Bishounens on animax

Adele is super happy! Animax is having a Bishie fest all this month and next! Well, unofficially but undeniably judging from the bishounen filled line-up

First things first. AstroView (satellite tv provider Astro's infotainment magazine) subscribers, KKM is in the May issue!   The character profile write-ups are horrible, but the cute pic of when the brothers invaded bunked in Yuri's house when they visited Earth totally  makes up for it.

And why is KKM in AstroView? Because Animax Asia will be airing Season 2 in May! Okay, yes I've watched the whole season but I can't wait to see the dubbed version. Mmhmm... I normally detest dubs, but Geneon USA commissioned good voice actors for Season 1 and frankly, some things in the anime translate across cultural borders better when done professionally.

La Corda D'Oro Primo Passo is another bishie-filled anime which has been screening on Animax since April 4. There's also Jyu-Oh-Sei which premiered today. The plot sounds a little more shounen than shoujo, but once again, there's eye-candy in it. if that isn't sufficient, both Koichi Domoto (of JE group Kinki Kids) and Shun Oguri (actor; Hana Yori Dango) are the voice actors of 2 main characters in the anime.   lacking in star power it is not XD

Can't wait to catch the latest episode of KKM Season 3 tomorrow after my nihon-go shiken (japanese language exam).

July 25, 26 and 27 is pilgrimage time!   *ahem* That is... the annual pilgrimage of all Japanese rock fans to Niigata's Naeba Ski Resort for Asia's biggest rock festival.

As of April 15, the Fuji Rock Festival's line-up included

BEAT CRUSADERS
ELLEGARDEN
Jason Mraz
TRAVIS

My four favourites on the very long (and still expanding) list

Given the cost and travel time of attending the Fuji Rock Festival, it is technically speaking going on a holiday, even for the locals.

The fun part is, that's actually the whole point since the organizers emphasize on escaping from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle to rock out in a forest atmosphere as a selling point of the festival... which is so cool

Adele is baffled. 分かりません. Why in the world would anyone want to become a virtual bimbo, or any sort of bimbo for that matter?

It's (somewhat) morbidly interesting to note how bimbo is starting to evolve from a derogative word to somewhat of a compliment. And if Miss Bimbo is an accurate indicator of changing times, soon girls will be clamouring for the honor of being called a bimbo. Really, it's just the opposite of how a perfectly charming word like gay (bright, happy, carefree) is now the very unsafe-to-use and politically incorrect gay (male homosexuality).

Although, Miss Bimbo should be commended for providing entertainment without even having to register for the game or moving a cyber inch away from the game's main page.

To quote the website:

We would also like to sincerely apologise to our players for the media comparison of Miss Bimbo and Paris Hilton. We feel that this does a dis-service to the players whom send their bimbos to university, tea parties or chess tournaments

Honestly, I thought the bimbos would be flashing their ultra mini skirts in joy. Isn't Paris Hilton the god-idol of all bimbo wannabes, or is she already so yesterday?

Tea parties are... wholesome fun, so I've got nothing against tea parties... but what induced the writer of the sentence to mention tea parties together with university and chess tournaments?? If going to a tea party is considered a mentally challenging activity, it's high time I migrate to Mars.

At this time we would also like to remind players that the Miss Bimbo team assume no responsibility or liability for any fashion faux pas, hair style disasters or boob jobs incurred in real life as as a result of playing the Miss Bimbo game

Disturbingly funny. It's scary to think about pre-teens fretting about fashion, hair styles and... boob jobs, when they're just starting to have, well, boobs. I didn't even know boob jobs existed when I was that age.

Just as well eternal life is non existent. In a century's time, it may be perfectly normal to walk around in your birthday suit. Our cave dwelling ancestors would be so proud.
